And I would like the phone number said clearly and slowly. This is as much as I need, personally. If this is a technical issue that people usuall call you about, it helps enormously if it is described, but also succintly.

			<description>I agree with points 1,2,3, &amp; 5 but my experience has been different with respect to point 4.  First of all, I would emphasize the first sentence...if the matter is urgent, call.  I would also add that if the matter is complicated or requires discussion, call.  Some things can be resolved a lot more quickly on the phone than through email.

When it somes to voice mail messages, my experience has been that people are more likely to leave too brief of a message than to leave a rambling reply.  Leaving only a name and number often leads to voice mail tag.  I find that it helps if the caller at least describes the nature of the problem or issue and gives some indication of when they can be reached.  This helps with prioritization and reduces the number of calls required for resolution.
